The Talkeetna River: As the name implies, the Talkeetna River laps at the banks of the
town of Talkeetna. The Talkeetna is a meandering, glacier fed, beast of a river that teams with all five species of pacific run salmon.
Finding them in the silt colored water is the trick. Due to the difficulty of this type of fishing, most anglers tarket the clear
tributaries. The biggest fish are main stem fish though, and with a little local knowledge and good luck on your side, the trophy of a
lifetime could be waiting for you in the Talkeetna.
The Deshka River: Hosts the earliest run of kings in the Susitna drainage. The Deshka is primarily a boat
show and the long slow runs are ideal for targeting kings as they school up in the slower water.
Clear Creek: The legendary local creek that is home to monster kings, rainbows, silvers, and more. Small
water and big fish. For salmon we primarily fish the mouth and lower river from the bank. For rainbows we move upstream. Custom multi-day float
trips from the source to Talkeetna available.
Zipperlips: You know, the creeks and small rivers that are so off the beaten path you have never
heard of them? We won't talk about them, but we will take you there. Long boat rides to the best fishing that Alaska has to offer. Please
inquire for more information.
